OMI was founded in 1979 by Robert Oakwell-Morgan (U.S.A. Trained Electrologist), and Nicolette Reaume (Canadian Trained Electrologist). During the first two years of operation, only client referrals by medical practitioners were accepted. OMI does not franchise, and continues to be 100% controlled by it's founders.
The highest professional standards have been established at OMI covering all aspects of it's operations. Although no watchdog agency of the government presently exists to oversee hair removal practices, OMI has always conducted it's affairs as if such an agency does exist, and will continue to do so indefinitely.
In the mid 1980's, the highly regarded training firm of Co-Design Training Services was engaged to train OMI staff.
